Erika Hancock is a mother, wife, successful businesswoman, and a candidate for State Representative in Kentucky’s 57th District.
It’s time for me to transition from my supportive role in politics to a leadership position. Having seized opportunities at the right moments throughout my career, I feel compelled to give back to the community that has given so much to me and my family.

Hancock graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in integrated strategic communications. She quickly became one of the youngest female State Farm agents, assuming control of Sallye Hill Stumbo’s office in 2001.
She has served on community boards, including the United Way, Sunshine Center, and the Site-Based Decision-Making Council for Bondurant Middle School, and contributed to the finance committee at First United Methodist Church.
Hancock and her husband, Franklin County Clerk Jeff Hancock, have been married for 23 years and have two children: Pauli, a 2022 Frankfort High School graduate and sophomore at the University of Louisville, and Houston, a sophomore at FHS.
Incumbent Derrick Graham announced earlier this month that he would not seek re-election.
